Primary Qualifications

• Overall GWA must be better or equal to: 1.7500
• University must be within the ff:
  UP Diliman
• Any course may apply
• Year Level Standing must be within the ff:
  Graduate Student

Secondary Qualifications

• All non-English speaking candidates must have taken and passed, preferably in their own countries, and with a minimum score of 500 points, the Test for English as a Foreign Language.
• Financial need will be considered but the candidate must submit a certificate from his/her family or a sponsor that they/he could support him/her in case he/she loses the scholarship.
• The candidate must satisfy the admission requirements for graduate study of the University of the Philippines.
• The candidate must submit a health certificate from a duly certified government physician, attesting to physical fitness for a serious study program.
• The candidate should be nominated by the home government.
• The candidate must have the ability to carry on academic work in the University of the Philippines as indicated by previous scholastic performance. Transcript of academic records and letters of recommendation from at least three (3) former teachers must be submitted. Entrance grade requirement is general weighted average of “1.75”* for both Master’s and Ph.D. programs.
