Scholarship Information Kit and Portal is a comprehensive online platform designed to provide students with accessible resources, guidance, and opportunities for pursuing scholarships to further their education.

1. How do I create a SIKAP account?
You can log in using your UP Email. If you don’t have one yet, you may register using your student number and an alternative email.

  1. I already have an existing SIKAP account and completed my portfolio. Why is it when I log in using my UP Email it’s asking me to complete my portfolio again?

    You have registered using your alternative email and student number. Log in to your existing SIKAP account with your existing username and password, then go to your portfolio and update your Student Profile, enter your UP Email address to link it with the alternative email that you have used for registration.

  1. How do I apply for a scholarship?

follow these steps:

  • Create a portfolio – Log in to your account and complete your portfolio.

  • Automatic evaluation – Our system will review your portfolio to determine if you meet the scholarship's eligibility criteria.

  • Apply – If you qualify, an “Apply Now” button will appear on the scholarship page.

If you don't see the “Apply Now” button, it means your portfolio may lack the necessary qualifications.

2. Do I have to wait to be verified before applying for scholarships?
No, once your portfolio is submitted, you may proceed with your applications. No need to wait for verification.

3. How do I find a suitable scholarship?
Go to the Scholarships page and use the filters to see scholarships that match your profile.

4. Is there a maximum number of scholarships I can apply for?
There’s no limit to how many you can apply for, but scholarship awards will depend on the maximum allowable stipend per student.

1. What should I do if both of my parents are unemployed and I am, too?
You may add a Household Member—someone who supports your studies financially. They don't have to live with you.

2. Both of my parents are not involved in my life. What do I do?
You can write N/A in the parent fields, then add a Household Member to reflect your guardian’s information. If your guardian is not your source of financial support, add another household member who is.

3. My parents are self-employed/freelancers without formal proof of income. What should I submit?
You may submit an Affidavit of Source of Income and declare their estimated monthly or annual income.

4. Both my parents are unemployed and we rely on allowance or savings. What do I submit?
Submit a narrative of income signed by your parents, along with a notarized affidavit of no income or BIR Certificate of No Income.

5. Can I declare zero income if both my parents are unemployed?
Yes, but you must still declare a household member they rely on financially (e.g., grandparent, relative, guardian).

6. My father is employed but exempt from filing an ITR, and my mother is unemployed. What documents do I submit?

  • For your mother: submit a BIR Certificate of No Income or a Notarized Affidavit of Source of Income.

  • For your father: submit a BIR Certificate of Exemption.

1. I qualified for the DOST Scholarship. Can I still apply for SIKAP scholarships?
If you accept the DOST scholarship, you can no longer apply for SIKAP-endorsed scholarships due to benefits cap restrictions.

2. Can I still apply for SIKAP scholarships while waiting for DOST results?
Yes, you may apply while waiting. However, if accepted into both, you must choose only one scholarship to accept.

3. Does submitting more supporting documents improve my chances?
What matters most is that your documents are complete, valid, and updated. This helps us properly evaluate your eligibility and can increase your chances.

4. What kind of document should I upload for my Landbank account?
Upload the front face of your Landbank card, showing your account name and number only. Do not include any card number or CVV.

1. It’s the end of the second semester. Should I indicate my current or incoming year level?
Indicate your incoming year level for the next academic year.

2. Do I need to wait for verification after uploading documents before applying?
No, once your documents are uploaded, you may proceed with scholarship applications.

3. Do I need to upload all of the supplementary documents right away?

You can certainly upload whatever document/s that you have right now. However please note that you must upload all other documents to apply for a scholarship.

4. I have been trying to upload my documents, why is it not being accepted?

Please ensure that the documents are in PDF format.
